In this issue we focus on our longest serving member of staff - Malc Godfrey.
Tiffin Green appointed Malc on 1 November 1964, when the original partners Bill Tiffin and Jimmy Green were in their prime and the office was based in New Road, Brentwood.
Aged just sixteen Malc joined the accounts department. He worked diligently to learn the intricacies of balance sheets and profit and loss statements to become a very reliable accounts manager. One of his earliest memories of working at Tiffin Green is earning £260 per annum with the added bonus of 3 shillings worth of luncheon vouchers per day!
Forty seven years on we're pleased to say Malc is still a valuable member of our team.
A challenge to our clients... please tell us do you have a loyal member of staff who has been with your business longer than 47 years?
Outside work Malc's wife Terri breeds cocker spaniels at their home in Hawkwell, near Southend on Sea. They definitely love dogs, not wanting to part with some puppies over the years their pets have increased in numbers - at the last count they had 10 dogs.
